the intro to your article made me think of Bhutan - seen several docs about this small country, with its majestic nature, conservation, friendliness - sounded indeed like paradise on earth.

I have a dear friend from Bhutan and while the country is amazing currently it is being targeted by China.

I'm expecting massive waves of automated AI identity spoofing attacks soon. What sort of remote authentication is robust enough to withstand profiling and real-time voice/video generation? Even if you use a password or electronic authenticator, most institutions are vulnerable via a "password reset" backdoor. Even if 99.5% of these attacks are thwarted, the ability to automate it will make it incredibly destructive.

By what I have been reading around the AI/LLM circles, there is really no robust enough service to stop these attempts. Humans are the weakest link in any structural chain, and AI does an amazing job at mimicking humans.

We are in for interesting times.

We are indeed both weak and in for interesting times.

Most people I know are not aware and don't care to know what is about to come. I think I am prepared but know I can never be fully prepared.

Most people are either willfully blind or being manipulated by all side and now, AI-enabled cognitive war.

You are most likely better prepared than 99% of people, me included lol
